My web page is mostly about my work, trips, people I meet, dreams, development, climate change and places I explore - with a dash of peace, love and music.

Skaarigleden.com was created partly because I enjoy writing and I realized no one was using the domain. In Norwegian, “skår i gleden” is a common expression/idiom, meaning e.g. that someone or something has destroyed a good moment/atmosphere. But as my last name is Skaar, I usually interpret this expression towards the more positive direction, with the basic meaning of the sentence. It then becomes something like “joyful Skaar” or “Skaar in happiness”… SkaariGleden is at her best when she can experience new cultures, meet amazing people, listen to them – and report it back to Norway and to you.

I appologize the mix of language use, as I tend to write either in English or Norwegian depending on what feels natural at that moment.. But for my international friends, I will try to stick to English from now on!
